Reporting To: Site Manager

CLOSING LIFT WHERE YOU STAND DATE: 13 DECEMBER 2025

ROLE PURPOSE

To effectively manage and control the company’s raw materials, finished goods, consumables, and tools

within the stores department. The Storeman ensures accurate stock levels, timely distribution of materials to

production, and proper record-keeping to support smooth manufacturing operations. The role is essential in

maintaining stock integrity, minimizing downtime, and supporting overall operational efficiency.


KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Receive, inspect, and verify incoming stock and materials.

  • Issue raw materials and components to production as required.

  • Maintain accurate stock records on the company’s inventory system.

  • Conduct regular and monthly stock counts.

  • Organize and maintain a clean, safe, and efficient store area.

  • Prepare and package outgoing goods for dispatch.

  • Ensure proper labelling and storage of all items.

  • Monitor stock levels and highlight shortages or discrepancies.

  • Follow company procedures for documentation and stock control.

  • Work closely with procurement and production teams.


MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

  • Grade 12 / Matric.

  • Minimum 5 years’ relevant experience.

  • Solid warehouse/store operations knowledge.

  • Experience in a manufacturing environment (advantage).

  • Computer literacy (Excel, inventory systems).

  • Strong understanding of stock control principles.

  • Ability to lift, move, and handle materials safely.

  • Good organizational and communication skills.

  • High attention to detail.
